- Look for "Enter code manually" or "Enter activation code"
- Enter the SM-DP+ Address from your Simcardo email
- Enter the Activation Code
- Confirm and wait for download
After Installation
Your eSIM is installed, but there's one crucial step before traveling:
Enable Data Roaming
Most users forget this. Without roaming enabled, your eSIM won't connect abroad.
- Go to Settings → Network/Connections → Mobile networks
- Select your Simcardo eSIM
- Turn on Data roaming
Set as Default for Mobile Data
If keeping your regular SIM for calls:
- Go to SIM settings
- Set Simcardo as default for Mobile data
- Keep your main SIM for calls and SMS
This gives you affordable data abroad while staying reachable on your regular number. Learn how dual SIM works.
Troubleshooting
Something not working? Here are common fixes:
- eSIM option not showing – Your phone may not support eSIM, or it's carrier-locked. Verify compatibility
- "Unable to add eSIM" error – Restart your phone and try again. Also check your internet connection. Complete guide
- No signal after setup – Enable data roaming and try selecting network manually. How to select network manually
